More & more versions for all of the original patterns & each of the new patterns are really coming along.

Here are some new details for one of the new patterns-

The Smocked Ruffle Dress & Pinafore is smocked from the shoulder to just above the waist & has a deep ruffle with two more ruffles below it. The back of the dress is a smocked ruffle attached to a yoke with buttons down the back opening. So many ways to make this! Each ruffle can feature a different color or print, or all be the same. The optional bias bands can be a contrasting color or print, or feature the same fabric. I am picturing this with a Smocked Hat from the Smocked Hat Pattern made in matching fabrics. The Pinafore is a full skirt smocked from the shoulder, with the back skirt shaped to meet the yoke. The hems of the Dress & the Pinafore can be edged with a wide bias strip to match the neck & armhole openings (or puffed sleeve bands)-just one of the ways to finish this one! The dress can also be made as full skirt or as a top, & I’ve included an optional sash for the dress & pinafore. I am planning to make a holiday dress with the Smocked Pinafore, a “dressy” Ruffle Dress, & one in some fun fabrics for everyday!

Stay tuned to see what else is coming!
